TRANSCRIPT: From Los Angeles California. October 12 1980. Reagan reports ladies and gentleman Governor Ronald Reagan. Good evening in just over three weeks will elect the next president of the United States. Many of you have made up your minds but many others have not and I can understand your uncertainty. These are difficult and confusing times in the next three weeks. As we move along the campaign Trail. I hope to talk with you from time to time about your decision and where I stand on vital issues but most of all I want to share with you my hopes and dreams for America denied. I'm speaking to you from California from the home where Nancy I have lived for 24 years. She has stood by my side and been my inspiration for nearly three decades. We haven't had much time here lately and we'll be back on the campaign Trail tomorrow. Sometimes we don't get to go together. And that's bad for me. I meet people and they're looking over my shoulder and I say hello. And they say where's Nancy? But over the course of this campaign. We've had the privilege of seeing and speaking with many many people across the land and we've come to understand more fully how a president. Want to be a good president must represent and speak for everyone
