Transcript - Full
Senator Everett Dirksen talks about Richard Nixon. So that's the first impression that I got of Dick Nixon. Senator Dirksen, you've told us about Richard Nixon as the dedicated young congressman, and you knew him and worked with him when he was vice president during the Eisenhower administration. Taking all these things into consideration, what can you tell us about the man as a future president? Putting it all together, it runs in my mind that Dick Nixon would not be a good president. He would be a great president of the United States because he can stand up under strain, he can take the pressures that go along with that high job and its awesome responsibility, and stand up to it in the interest of the country. Thank you.
