Transcript - Full

Senator Hiram Fong of Hawaii talks about Richard Nixon. ...that the next president will be Richard Nixon. The people of the world are concerned about our posture in Southeast Asia. Will this posture be clarified after the election of Richard Nixon? Yes, there will be a very straightforward, definitive foreign policy. Richard Nixon is not the type of man who says one thing and does another. The Asians can rely on what he says, and I know with his knowledge of Asian policies, with his knowledge of that part of the world, he will give us a very straightforward Asian policy. I know Richard Nixon, when he says that he is going to do a thing, he will do it. And all Asians can look forward to that. Thank you.
