Transcript - Full

This is Senator John Kennedy. I'm speaking to the voters of Michigan in the closing days of this campaign and asking your support. Michigan is a great industrial state. Michigan can maintain employment for its people only if the United States is moving ahead, only if there is full employment in the country. This administration has stood still. In the 1960s we're going to have to find 25,000 new jobs a week, every week for the next 10 years. We're going to have to provide medical care for our aged and a good education for our children. All these things can be done by a progressive forward-looking administration. I believe that the 1960s can be the best years for the United States. I ask your support in getting our country off dead center. I ask your support in making America move again and making Michigan prosper.
