Item is a topographic map of Cherokee County and Adair County, Oklahoma, which is comprised of two separate base maps of each county from 1939 that have been taped together to create a single map. Map features various annotations and four adhered pink notes, which explain the annotations. Map pertains to Lake Tenkiller, State Highway 82, U.S. Highway 59, and proposed routes to Lake Tenkiller. Stamped (verso; black): Bureau of Indian Affairs Received May 28 1952 Washington, D.C. Item was originally attached to letter dated 14 May 1952 from Jack Chaffin to Stigler, but map was sent to the Bureau of Indian Affairs and then returned to Stigler's office.
