Scope and Contents
Copy of hearings before Senate Committee on Finance on H.R. 4259, which provided for a $20 tax credit for individuals and made other changes to tax laws; minority report from six Democratic members of Finance Committee, the six members include, Kerr, J. Allen Frear, Jr., Russell B. Long, George A. Smathers, Lyndon B. Johnson, and Alben W. Barkley; telegram signed by representatives of many railroad unions and other unions; correspondents include International Association of Machinists, Julian J. Rothbaum, many local unions.
