National Energy Strategy, H.R. 776, Alternative Fuels, 1991
Scope and Contents
Contains various materials pertaining to proposed legislation on the use of alternative fuels, including the Energy Technology Research and Development Authorization Act of 1991 (H.R. 2399), and the Clean Domestic Fuels Enhancement Act of 1991 (H.R. 2960), the latter of which was introduced by Synar. These proposed bills and amendments later informed the Energy Policy Act of 1992 (H.R. 776), subsequently known as the Comprehensive National Policy Act. Materials include numerous legislation drafts, handwritten notes, doodles, and commentary and include a program to the Memorial Service held for Lilian Newby, Synar's Press Secretary from 1979-1986.
