Contains a copy of a letter from the Department of the Interior to Chief Wilma Mankiller regarding progress made by the Bureau of Land Management surveying the Arkansas Riverbed. This letter was originally filed with additional materials regarding attempted settlement between the federal government and the Choctaw, Cherokee, and Chickasaw Tribes pertaining to the Arkansas Riverbed. The letter was separated from the surrounding materials because of an oversized enclosure with the letter.
