Scope and Contents
Contains various materials such as correspondence and memorandums regarding the adoption of Rule 19c-5 by the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) to permit the multiple trading of options. The rule went into effect starting January 22, 1990 and the majority of the documents are dated within one week of that date and pertain to questions and concerns with the rule. These materials are related to the Omnibus Trade and Competitiveness Act of 1987 (H.R. 3) and the subsequent ramifications of its presidential veto.
