Scope and Contents

This folder contains "transition" memos provided by Synar and his subcommittee staff to the Clinton-Gore transition team. These memos provide information and recommendations on critical problems within agencies under Synar's subcommittee jurisdiction. While there are multiple memos regarding various agencies in the folder, the folder only lists one item because all of the materials were enclosed within one letter. The "note for archives" item came from Sandra Zeune Harris. Sandra Harris was the staff director of the Committee on Government Operations' Subcommittee on Environment, Energy, and Natural Resources and a former staffer in Synar's office.
