Scope and Contents
Contains various materials pertaining to an investment scandal at Salomon Brothers, in which the company's political action committee (PAC) and its employees acted in willful disregard for existing laws to invest nearly one million dollars in current Members of Congress between 1985 through mid-1991. The scandal was investigated by the Securities and Exchange Commission and by the House Committee on Telecommunications and Finance and the House Committee on Government Operations.
