Scope and Contents The Gingrich Research subseries includes materials related to Peters’ research on Newt Gingrich and his leadership style. The materials include GOP leadership files, month-by-month documentation from press outlets, research related to Gingrich’s strategy, campaign, and re-election, articles about Gingrich including being named “Man of the Year”, source materials regarding the 1997 coup attempt, and the ethics case against Gingrich. The subseries also contains a copy of Gingrich’s course “Renewing American Civilization” and copies of many of his speeches.
