Correspondence and memoranda regarding timber taxation; tax reform, including tax reform hearings; the Internal Revenue Service (IRS); A bill to provide for rearranging the period for averaging business profits and losses, to prohibit the trafficking in net operating loss carry-forwards, and for other purposes (HR 8737/HR 8799); A bill relating to the deduction of interest on certain corporate indebtedness to acquire stock or assets of another corporation (HR 7929); A bill to provide an opportunity to individuals to make financial contributions, in connection with the payment of their Federal income tax, for the advancement of the Arts and Humanities (HR 8274); and A bill to amend the Internal Revenue Code of 1954 to restrict the authority for inspection of tax returns and the disclosure of information contained therein (HR 616).
