Scope and Contents
Lewis, a Creek, entered the Oklahoma School for the Blind at the age of six and graduated in 1934 She received a teacher's certificate in music. She was awarded a gold watch for ranking highest in citizenship and scholarship and the D.A.R. medal for excelling in American history.
