R. 15309 regarding control of mailing lists; copy of H. R. 17977 and H. R. 9738 limiting the sale and distribution of mailing lists by Federal agencies; copy of H. R. 4722 requiring mailing list brokers to register with the Postmaster General; re: H. R. 4722 to control junk mail; and much of the correspondence in folder 18 concerns an article Gallagher and Morris K. Udall had in American Legion Magazine re: whether unsolicited mail was an invasion of privacy to which correspondents could answer a brief survey on the issue.
