Scope and Contents
The tour examined the flat tax versus the national sales tax as alternatives to the current tax code. Richard K. Armey (flat tax) and W. J. (Billy) Tauzin (national sales tax) debated the issue. Beginning of the Scrap the Tax Code tour, slated for Columbus (Ohio), Atlanta (Georgia), and Chicago (Illinois). Armey commented.
