Topics include: support legislation to include dentists under the Federal Old Age and Survivors Insurance plan; resolution that the present federal social security laws remain unchanged with respect to benefits, rates, eligibility coverage and level of income subject to the tax; legislation lowering the eligibility age of a widow from 65 to 62 years of age; seems unfair to omit real estate dealers from social security; Social Security Act should be amended to exclude farmers from the tax; information on whether the bill was reduced from 65 to 60; support for a bill reducing the age limit for women to 60 under social security and providing for disability benefits at the age of 50; asking for a uniform retirement age; thanks for seeking amendment to permit old age assistance recipients to work up to half-time; for elimination of the county case workers; talk to Congressman James Percy Priest, chairman, Interstate and Foreign Commerce and have a bill introduced where a retired railroad worker who receives the railroad pension and receives less than $100 per month would get an increase; Townsend Plan.
