Scope and Contents

The Rapid Response Team was a conference strategy effort to issue a quotation or fax within hours of a Clinton White House statement. A communications staffer from the conference would contact several Response Team members' press secretaries for the information and then use the material provided by the first few responders. Among the many topics in the folder are health care, Whitewater, Bill Clinton, White House travel office, religious right, crime, and Contract with America.
