Barton, T.H., Lion Oil Refining Company, to J.G.Puterbaugh, 9/27/1944
Scope and Contents
A typed single page letter from T.H. Barton to J.C. [sic] Puterbaugh, of the McAlester Fuel Company, ordering William H. Murray's Memoirs asking Puterbaugh if he could get Murray to autograph one of the volumes. Notes enclosing a check for $15. Check stub from Lion Oil included.
Barton types Puterbaugh's name incorrectly. it is Jay Garfield (so, "J. G." instead of "J.C.") Puterbaugh. And he misidentifies the location of Puterbaugh's company. It is in McAlester, Oklahoma rather than the non-existent McAlester, Arkansas. See record 5.30.0013.
