Evil Days and Criminal Charges--.... , undated
Scope and Contents
Two handwritten pages with Murray discussing recent charges against Oklahoma citizens and officials before the book went to press. Corresponds to Book IX Ch. S. “On Rebellions and Crime; Official Peculation,” in Volume III, pp. 210 - 211 (§ 227). Manuscript stops at “… the indictments of the Grand Jury.” Published Memoirs add two additional sentences: Judge Shaw in the meantime (at Tulsa) quashed all indictments for conspiracy, leaving some other charges now on ‘appeal’.
