The Rev. Samuel Worcester.... 1 page., undated
Item — Box: 5, Folder: 28
Identifier: CAC_CC_041_1_5_28_0003
Scope and Contents
One handwritten page (only half used) on Samuel Worcester establishing a Presbyterian mission in Cherokee County in 1835. Corresponds to the “Postlogue of History / Facts,” Ch. Y in volume III, pp. 306 (§ 299). The published memoir misprints the year as 1935 (Murray references the “coming Civil War” and the establishment of Fort Sill [1869], so clearly the nineteenth century).
