Scope and Contents
Carbon copy of a 9-page typescript draft conforming to chapter VII (pp. 66 -77) of William H. Murray's The Finished Scholar (noted as FS): "Punctuation and its Marks." The typescript pages to chapter VII keeps to the basic layout and structure of the final, published chapter, but latter has additions that expands the text. Some of these forthcoming additions are noted in the typescript, including a handwritten insertion on typescript p. 6 on modifying the same sentence with differing punctuation placement (FS, p. 72) and a typed parenthetical note on typescript p. 8 to insert Article 1 section 8 of the US Constitution after the last paragraph on the typed page (FS, pp. 74 - 76).
