Biographical / Historical
Moscelyne Larkin was member of the Shawnee-Peoria Tribe from Oklahoma. She joined the Original Ballet Russe when she was 15 and is one of the 5 Moons Native American ballerinas. Roman Jasinski, was a Polish-born dancer who joined Col. W. de Basil's Ballets Russes in 1932. Larkin and Jasinski married in Buenos Aires on Christmas Eve in 1943. They later joined the Ballet Russe de Monte Carlo where they danced from 1948 to 1954. In 1956 they founded a ballet school and company in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
